Position:       Mechanical Engineer

S-T Industries, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of precision measuring instruments including optical comparators, video inspection systems and precision hand measuring tools.

This position will report to the VP of Engineering

Responsibilities include:  new product design, product improvement, bill of materials, testing, costing, assisting purchasing in supplier selection, work with sales on product specifications and applications, and work with quality assurance team.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 year degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

3-5 years related experience

Knowledge and experience in Solid Works and CADKEY

Knowledgeable in high precision components and electro-mechanical assemblies

Metrology and quality background helpful

Ability to creatively apply engineering principles and techniques

Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, etc.

Team oriented

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Person of integrity with excellent people skills

Must be willing to relocate to the St. James area.
